Saturday was Pineapple Tarts' Day! Had to go to work in the morning. Upon reaching home, the dough & the pineapple filling awaited me. They were waving at me.

This is an annual episode I always look forward to. The moulding of the tarts, filling it, solitaire-ing it, baking it & the ultimatum...tasting it! Yuummmzzz!

This year, there were plenty of helping hands. Cik Limah & Aunty Ayu came over to pitch in. With an extra help, we managed to finish the 14 bars of butter at a pretty impressive timing. We completed everything a tad while after break fast. Usually, it would've stretched up till pretty late. But this year, champion. Each was in-charge of the different department. I was most of the time at the moulding department.

It was only towards the end that I managed to hop onto the filling department & finally got the gist of the solitare-ing department. (what is that?) solitaire-ing it is when you put dat lil diamond atop the tarts. This year, it was just..ehem..'balling' it cause this year is no diamonds but tiny weeny lil balls of dough. Simple...

After cleaning up, the kuzzins had a good cam-whoring time. Effects of being in the kitchen the whole day. Just look at our sticky, oily faces! Eeerrgghh!!

And me posing with a tray of that lil bites! Woops! There better not be any guys swinging into this space of mine. My hair is exposed!!! Bad hair day to top it all up! Ouh. And that kupu-kupu (read: butterfly) baju of mine. Very striking sia!! Heh.

Hari Raya is never complete without baking cookies, spring-cleaning, cooking & what-have-yous. These are the kind of things that hypes up the atmosphere. It also strengthens the bond of the family, especially when you do these chores together. Family affair.

Which brings a reminder to me. We are down to the last five days. I wish for 50 more. Tranquility, serenity will be missed. Definitely. This month always feels different for me.

Anyhooz. Last Friday was outdoor break fast. It was with the sistas. We break fast the 'grunge' way (how Fad will put it). When the prayer call sounded, we just drank those colourful liquids selling at 80 cents a cup. After which, since everyone else was busy gobbling down food, we roamed around the bazaar area. Fuuhh! It was heaven! No crowd, no pushing, no sticking. We were walking leisurely passing by the stalls. Even the stall holders were eating. There were of course some other people roaming around but it wasnt the RED ALERT level yet.

When people started pouring in from all corners, we escaped to the hawker centre where it was our turn to gobble down whatever the cook managed to come up with. Knowing that it was a Friday, most of the food were either sold out or will take some time to be prepared. I ended up with Roti John. While the rest just bought from the Mamak stall.

Stomach filled, we continued with our roaming. This time, we had to brave the crowd. Hello! This is only the 2nd last Friday of Ramadhan. What about this coming Friday?!?!?!?! Hahahaa! As usual, you would NOT even be able to walk. Nono..you dont even have to walk, actually. You just have to wait for the person behind you to push. Heh.

So we ended up with more food as we were still hungry & chilled at a void deck nearby. Joined by other groups of mamats n minahs, Im sure the residents above were having a hard time trying to get a piece of their slumber.

Had a great time with the sistas. Crackling into fits of laughter. We tend to be our normal selfs whenever we are together without the guys.

Sunday was also chores day. Gramps bought the ingredients needed for her to cook up a storm come Friday. All my relatives will be pouring in at Gramps place. And so...she's gotta have something for them to eat, right?

Peanuts for the Sambal Satay & Coconut for the Serunding.

Had to also cut the dried sotong for the Sambal Sotong. And...at the end of the day....who would not be delighted to retire to the silky pieces of chocolate...

Sinful AND orgasmic! Heavenly sweet! What more, it's been ages since the linings of my throat seeped that cocoa au jus!

Gracias Kuz Nad for doing me these lovely pieces! Aaaawwww...is dat supposed to be sweet or what??

Au revoir mon cheri!
