ok. called in sick on monday. was exhausted from the hectic weekend.
firstly, thank you to all my relatives & friends who came to my open house on Saturday. thank you for spending a fraction of your time at my humble abode. may Allah bless you all.
no pics were taken coz urs truly was buzzz, BUZZZ from the beginning to the end! cooking, cleaning & whathaveyous! whoa! but i truly enjoyed it. how often throngs of people come crashing your house? once a year! so, i dont mind having to break my bones to ensure my guests are properly entertained.
my dear colleagues were the 1st to arrive. opening ceremony lah kirakan. heheee. adlyn & family, jasri, ziana & seok chuan. thanks yah! i hope u peeps had a good time. sorry if there were any shortcomings. after that then it was non-stop my aunts & uncles, grandaunts & uncles. diyana came with dewi. 1st time i met dewi, nice young lady she is. my sis' colleagues came too. her hub & bro were also there! kecoh bila pakcik tu datang bertandang! LOL!! ni belum masuk meminang babe!
oklah. managed to get some shots w them colleagues.
the next day was raya marathon with them crew!!! (psst! bear in mind, penat semalam belum hilang babe!)but hecks! i was really looking forward to sunday's raya marathon. miss them crew soooooo much! after ages, this is the 1st time we chartered a 20-seater. ok. this decision was unanimous. after what happened last year, we do not want anymore of that sort of thing to happen.
met at bro fad's house at 1.45pm. as usual & expected, some came late & some bubbled. so we had to push the schedule a bit.
ahakz! and this year, the boys made it reeeeeaaalllyyy special. wanna know what?
they were all clad in their full suit! F-U-L-L S-U-I-T!!! full baju kurung suit!! aaaawwww...i was soooo touched upon seeing them all in baju kurung. alahai! cair (read: melts)!
the baju kurung, the songket, the songkok. haizzz.
it took them 5 years to agree to don their baju kurung. with reference to my 10 years series of the raya marathon, the boys casually came in their sloppy tees & jeans while we girls took up time to dress to the nines! chetz! fair or not???
so this year, i made a bet with bro fad (the organiser). i told him
"bro, either ur boys come in baju kurung or you boys treat us girls BIG dinner aite!"
seems like he put in sheer effort to ensure his boys turn up in baju kurung. even the one new guy who joined us was in his full suit.
in total, we went to 7 houses. there was a slight glitch towards the end & i was damn glad the boys were there to handle the situation. thank you boys! the last house was Mum's at Tampines. Mum refers to my F&N teacher back during the sec school days. the crew consisted of non-Broadricians. but amazingly, she managed to pick out who was & who wasnt. the boys were all telling her they were from Broadrick too but she was smarter! too bad boys! pfftt!
i shant scribble anymore. let these snappies do the talking, shall we?
they are more snappies taken. but the official photographers (khai & yana) are taking time to compile them all. will post them up once the originals are in hand aite!
