hi.
been a while.
no..no..many2 whiles. urs truly have been procrastinating to scribble in this space. after much "later lah..after this lah..and what-have-yous", here i m scribbling this.
ok. so here we are in the month of december. soon we'll have to bid farewell to the nice little '8' and usher in the digit '9'. more excitements, blunders, laughters and tears are waiting for us in the new year. meanwhile, maybe we should think of what we have done so far this year. achievements? lessons learnt? memories? thoughts? we've had our fair bit of everything this year, i bet. with the current economic downturn, we are (can i say?) going thru the down phase together. be prepared that it's going to last for quite some time before everything picks up itself and back to status quo.
anyhoots. my last entry was about my sis' 20th. i ended off by saying that i was ubber egg-cited about something. ouh well. u may guessed it right. it had something to do with my bithday. urs truly turned a year older. how old? four years my sis' senior.
i had a great time celebrating with the people close and dear to my heart. people whom i love. the celebration was simply sweet! simple is sweet. :))))
celebrated the eve with my dear Qush. that, my dear readers, made this year's 'turning-a-year-older' special. he made it especially special. we went to places i've never been before. places away from the hustles and bustles of the rat race. errmm, wait. we did stepped on the roads of orchard to catch a movie. what show? quarantine. ahakz! how i would review it? hmm..u take ladder 49 (according to Qush) plus blair witch project plus the game 'doom' (that-corpse/ghouls- running-after-you game). total that 3 up and u'll get quarantine. heh. get what i mean? no? watch it for urself when it is out in stores. i repeat, stores.
after shrieking at cineleisure, we went to chua chu kang for quiet 'dinner' and then zoomed off with purple darling to kent ridge park for the cake-cutting ceremony. nature reserve. sweet. the view from the top was amazing. beautiful. we made it on time just before the night sets in, when the sunset was about to end. such romantic ambience.
presents he gave left me awed. i was lost for words. wasnt expecting THIS much from him.
*gasp*...............
*faints*
this is soooo me. a pondering garfield. hee. ouh! and it's finger-licking good! can i have some more Qush?? hehee.
the ring, the keychain, the watch and the card, from Qush while the teddy in the box, from abg din.
other prezzies included tudungs from his mum, topshop tee from Qush too, cd from freako and personalised birthday card from bro irfan. so sweet of him too.
i guess presents will slowly fade from sight as one grow older. i used to get tons of them when i was younger. but now, even if it is just a wish, it is enough to brighten up my special day. well...it doesnt matter. it's the thought that counts. *smiles*
Qush waited till the stroke of midnight to be the 1st to wish me at home. shooo shweet! then....the sms-es and calls started pouring in, also received a birthday wish video from my dearest sistas (fresh from the oven, yana quoted. was told that they had a hard time to shoot that video. perfect lighting, audibility, etc. aaaawww...thank you! *smiles*).
after that, my siblings surprised me with a slice of mint cake (yummz!!). thank you!!!
the eve was well-spent. i was an elated young lady. i wanna say a BIG thank you to my dearest Qush for making it such a wonderful birthday eve celebration. all simply well-planned n u made it great. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!! luv u sayang!

on the actual day, we had dinner at kampung chai chee.
to all, thank you for everything. for the wishes, the prayers, the prezzies and the surprises. special thanks to Qush for giving my 24th an extra loving touch.

when i thot my birthday was like a stale bread, my sistas celebrated my belated birthday on the 13th december 2008.
we went everywhere. we fought the freezing ice, we overcame acrophobia (afraid of heights), we made many wishes by the fountain at suntec city.
hmm..how??? you may asked.
we went ice-skating at leisure park, hopped on the singapore flyer & chilled out at the fountain at suntec city. fuuhh!

as shown in the snappies, i was presented with a bouquet of roses which signifies friendship & sisterhood, a box of small cakes from coffeebean and a card (not in snappies).
thank you to my sistas for celebrating my belated birthday. had a great time w y'all. ouh. they even dedicated a wish to me on that fountain at the suntec city roundabout. speechless. sweet.
thank you once again to all who made my 24th very special. heart you all.

with all the hardwork, pains & difficulties, the laughters & tears, the thicks & thins that we have to go thru, i treasure you more as days whizz by.
as the saying goes, patience is a virtue.
sincere love for each other is primary. materials are secondary.
